Still more to come...

We need to begin considering if and how we might want to distribute these. Do we want to make them available in their entirety online? Do we want to clone the DVD's exactly as they are? Do we want to edit them a bit and put them into chapters etc.? Start thinking and posting ideas. keep in mind that we are going to have about 50 dvd's total when I've finished copying them all over. Each Dvd contains just over an hour of video. Not all are of our family, but there are lots of Grandma and Grandpas families/parents as well. We also have events such as dad's graduation and mom and dad's wedding. Those events and many others are often mixed in between films of cemetary visits and fishing trips etc.

Ideas needed!

Alright, here is the second vid...it is alot longer and should have something for everybody. The year is 1986...a very important year for those of you who remember my birthday. Enjoy!!!

Tonight we began testing our process to convert the family videos to DVD. We used some film of Dianes wedding (cerca 1950) as the test film. It converted without issue from its VHS format to DVD without too much work. I've ripped the DVD to my computer and done some work on it to upload it here. Hopefully as I learn a bit more I'll be able to speed up and better perfect the process and post a few more interesting and relelvant samples.

The quality of the video here is not very good. This is because Grandpa Larsen appears to be filming an 8mm reel with his VHS video recorder. He is the narrator in the background.

Hopefully we'll get some more exciting samples soon!!!
